The EPLACE consortium was invited to attend the conference organized within the European project SMARTSPACES - Saving Energy in Europe’s Public Buildings Using ICT.
The project started at the beginning of 2012 and lasts for 3 years. It will set up 11 pilot sites in 11 cities in 8 countries and be operated by 26 partners with an overall budget of almost 7 million Euros. The project is co-funded by the European Commission within the CIP ICT Policy Support Programme.
The SMARTSPACES Belgrade event was organized at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University Belgrade, on the 23rd of October 2014. The EPLACE project was presented at that event by REAP expert Mr. Georgi Simeonov. The event was visited by other ICT project representatives as well as a large number of Serbian stakeholders. The event offered good networking activities, as well as it was a good forum to present the EPLACE project before entirely new target group – stakeholders and key players from different European countries.
Short interview was given by Mr. Simeonov where he explained the main objectives of EPLACE project as well as the current state of the art, on going activities and what is still pending until end of the project.
